IMEH BISHOP UMOH AKA OKON LAGOS BEARS IT ALL IN THIS EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW. CLEARS THE AIR ABOUT HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH VANESSA KOKO. TALKS AMVCA AWARDS 2016.

I’m sure the name Okon Lagos isn’t new to you. He has earned his stripes in the world of Nigerian comedy and has gone ahead to become a maestro in the industry.

Without wasting your time, here’s another interview with Imeh Bishop Umoh aka Okon Lagos.

Enjoy, braodcast and leave your comments below.

1. Tell us how has it been with you? How does it feel to be @ the fore front of Nigerian Comedy?

I am very well. My family too. I thank God Almighty for his love and mercies so far. It feels great to be at the front line of comedy in Nigeria. I believe everyone shoots for excellence and distinction in whatever he does and for me in the case of my career in comedy, it’s no different. It is a great feeling of accomplishment as well as a sober reflection on how the grace of God has taken me this far. My success also serves as a positive pressure to do more since it is all about the happiness of my fans.

2. We are sure you have been in so many movies, but can you mention about 5? The ones you really enjoyed acting in.

I am very passionate about what I do so I enjoy every second I spend doing any movie. It's really hard to mention the ones I have had fun in to the exclusion of others. OKON LAGOS was cool, OKON GOES TO SCHOOL, OBI IS A BOY, WATERFALLS, A WISH, INTHE CUPBOARD, and many other movies have in them reminiscences that make my moment rock.

3. To you, which of the movies would you say gave you your big break?

OKON LAGOS did it. It was a gamble but at the end of the day it became a smashing hit

4. You know you are an inspiration to a lot of Akwa Ibom actors all over the WORLD; do you by chance reach out to them?

Yes I do. I may not do so satisfactorily because doing so is definitely relative but I do so in the little way I can and I always will.

5. Life as a married man, tell us your experience.

Life as a married man is fun. I have a wife that I love so much who complements my inadequacies as well as a daughter to love and be successful for.

6. Female fans, how do you deal with them?

Hahaha... My female fans are wonderful and supportive and understanding. I love them. They love me too. I am their star and they won't do a thing that will put my career in jeopardy.

7. There's this photo going viral on the internet with you making the hair of popular actress Vanessa Koko, and a lot of people think you do hair styling part time. Care to elaborate on that one?

Yes that's actually a footage of a movie I did "LOVE IS IN THE HAIR" I was a hairdresser in the film and my dexterity earned me the name "Twelve Fingers"

8. What's the future for you and what are your plans for the younger generation?

I intend to go into production of my own films full swing. I will also set up an academy that will develop to international standards, arts and comedy talents. Many up and coming artistes will benefit.

9. Do you mind telling us why you are standing in a photo with a lot of white people everywhere? LoL

That is me in Frankfurt, Germany. Hahahaha

10. What is your ADVICE to up and coming actors/actresses about selling their bodies for movie roles?

Well regarding my own industry in entertainment, I'm not certain of "selling bodies". That will be indirectly saying prostitution is a practice in the movie industry. Most people that come out to do films are adults and are responsible for their thoughts, actions and inactions. If anyone thinks he or she should condescend as low as selling his or her body to God knows who, in God knows which market, then that will be an abysmal and a gross show of low self-esteem, confidence in his or her ability to exhibit his arts. However, I'm not given to the existence of that anomaly majorly in our industry.

11. In the industry today, whose your biggest inspiration?

I have always been inspired by those who had been there before me. Mr Bean, Nkem Owoh, John Okafor, Victor Osuagwu. I have no particular role model. My role model is seemingly ideal. It's a potpourri of all excellent skills of all the great comedians I admire.

12. Now that we know scammers are out to use your name to deal with people, what's the safest medium for people to reach you?

Whatsapp and Instagram for now.

13. We noticed that you have been nominated for the AMVCA awards, how can people participate?

ONE ON ONE WITH LILLIUWIN A.K.A ONE AFRICA.

1. Introduce yourself to us.

I'm Lilliuwin a.k.a One Africa, As matter of fact, I would like to be known and addressed as 'ONE AFRICA' because the name Lilliuwin is[permit me to say that is always difficult for Some people to pronounce] an Abbreviation which i will later let my fans know where it came from.
I am Nigerian but permanently base in UK. I’m currently the director of a Production and Event Management Company LILLIUINPROENT [UK], where I showcase, promote, produce both upcoming and professional artiste and as well as entertainment, which I was really motivated by a good friend, a colleague, brother etc. by name FRED EBERE a.k.a DOGOOD [Nollywood actor] who really encouraged me to Start up my own Company.

Before that, I worked as a contracted musician with GMQEX Luton UK an artiste management company, where I met a man MR SIMON, who contributed a lot to my profession. And while I really enjoyed working with them and still keeping it real with them until now in as much as i got my own Company GMQEX is still always there for me to Support me.

I’m very passionate about dancing, reading, storytelling and more importantly helping people. In addition to those interests and passions, my professional life is a huge part of who I am, so I'd like to talk a bit about it. I am a writer, composer and singer by profession. I started singing in my secondary school days which eventually earned me the nickname “Lady Rapper” in my school then, Even before this time, I’d been awarded the title “Acharaugo Nwanyi” as the best dancer in my elementary school. Later on I began singing for my church choir, City of God Bible Church a.k.a Church in the manger in Aba,Abia-State Nigeria. And from there I was able to release my first gospel musical album titled 'Odiworom nma'.

2. Can you tell us some of the projects you have handled and are presently handling?

I have handled many musicals, movies and humanitarian projects. While I was in Nigeria I used to work with a humanitarian organization Called WAY MARKS HUMANITERIAN ORG whose motto is “Adding taste to the world”, with the sole aim of searching out those who are in desperate need spiritually, financially, physically, materially and marital, regardless of gender, age or ethnicity and to assist them. Which we did alot of works in Adamawa, Okigwe, Oru east, Aba and some other places to the Glory of God, Some musical projects include OH MY DESTINY, EVERLASTIN, PRAISE HIM, HIGHER GROUND PRAISE, ONE AFRICA Etc and movies DOGOOD IN LONDON, AKPI IN MANCHESTER, currently I’m working on two movie production namely AKPI AND ANCENSTOR SEASON 1&2...And some other music projects Which includes ONE AFRICA VOL2.

3. So what are your plans for the coming year 2016?

I really have big plans for 2016 among and not limited to making Luton a home away from home for Africans and Caribbean by bringing their culture and tradition down to the U K through music and drama. Also I plan to embark on African and European musical tour to preach and solicit for peace among warring factions in Africa and to raise fund for those who are in need or displaced by war or conflicts Etc.

4. Your song 'ONE AFRICA' conveys a message of peace. Can you tell us what motivated to you to write that and why you chose to shoot in Africa, judging from the fact that you are based in the United Kingdom.

Yeah you are right But one thing for sure is that I'm born African and thats my foundation, In life everyone has where She/he Originally came from which you can never Change No matter wherever you base, so for the fact I base in UK Doesn't made me not knowing where i came from[Smile] and the people I left behind in AFRICA, it Still my dream to see Africa Continent Appreciate what God blessed them with and work hard to keep it and less Sufferings from the Poor Masses, the song is a product of pain and sorrow for my beloved continent, and it’s a massage of peace and unity which is seriously lacking in our continent and is destroying and tearing us apart. It is crystal clear that we Africans are the architect of our problems, we have allowed religion, race and colors to tears us apart, hence we have become selfish and self-centered. Therefore, I decided to put this song together to address this issue, so that Africans everywhere will see themselves as ONE and put their resources and technology together and become a force to reckon with. Africa is blessed more than any other continent of the world yet we are suffering, reason being selfishness and greed. We really need to unite

5. Any plans to sign any gospel artist soon?

Yes I really want to sign a good number of gospel artiste singers, performers and instrumentalist and I’d spoken with them and they are happy to work with me. For some professional and security reasons I wouldn’t want to reveal their names to the public yet, hope you understand....in adition to it i will also like to Sign other Non-Gospel artists as long as the Song make meanings and as long as the artist is talented to Sing LILLIUWINPROENT [ UK] is there for that Person Because i know there are alot out there that need someone to Sponsor them...well the door is open for the person to Submit his or her work..

6. Any words for your fans out there?

Oh my fans yes of course, what can I do without them. You all are wonderful people; you inspire and encourage me a lot by believing in me. Keep believing, you shall not be disappointed in me. In 2016 be Assured of a Smile.

7. How can fans reach you?

Fans can reach me through the following contacts: lilliuwinpro_ent@yahoo.co.uk, www.lilliuwinproent.co.uk, and +44 7481993568, +447827160760,[+441582253579 from 4pm to 11pm]

A MOMENT WITH NOLLYWOOD'S EZE OGARANYA AKA KINGRICH.

Q. Tell us about yourself.
A. First and foremost, thank you for having me. My name is Eze Ogaranya but am fondly called Kingrich Ogaranya. I am a Nigerian Actor from Abia State, I am a graduate with a diploma in Architecture, a career minded person, God fearing, energetic, enthusiastic, and a hard-working man.

Q. When did you start acting and why?
A. I started acting in 2012, due to the love and passion I have for the art. Then I was doing my industrial training at Nigerian Communications commission (NCC) in Abuja after which I took a long break to complete my studies. Before the break I auditioned and was featured in a movie titled "PAPEL'S BLUE FLAMES" where I acted alongside admirable Omoni Oboli, Thelma Okoduwa Ojiji, Sani Danja etc. I also played a lead role for a Homevida short film titled “TO SERVE WITH ALL OUR STRENGTH".

Q. Who are your mentors in the movie industry?
A. Sincerely speaking I have a lot of mentors. The likes of Ramsey Noah, Leonardo Dicaprio, Majid Michel, Al pacino, Jeremy Irons, Genevieve Nnaji, Caroline King etc hahaha like I said the list is long.

Q. What impact do you think you can make in the industry?
A. I see the industry as a whole body, and actors as the body parts; like hands, feet, eyes etc. So you see no matter how small a body part is, without it, the body is incomplete. ‎And in answer to your question, I know by God's grace my presence would contribute to the growth of the industry.

Q. What do you think are the major challenges in Nollywood industry?
A. Poor funding in most cases, piracy, lack of adequate training etc. Regardless, the industry is a growing one and is bound to face challenges.

Q. Where do you think you will be in 3 years from now?
A. ‎Three years from now, Hahahaha, that's a serious one. Truthfully speaking as humans we cannot be too certain of tomorrow. And just like many, I have goals and believe that by God's grace I will continue to learn and increase my experiences, that in three years I will be in a respectable position where the industry sees me as a valuable asset and at the same time I want to grow with the industry. But most importantly, I see myself happy with what I am doing.

Q. How can actors, directors and fans reach you?
A. I like this part! Hahahaha. You could contact me through the following means; EMAIL: kingrichonline@yahoo.co.uk, FACEBOOK: Kingrich Ogaranya, TWITTER: @Kingrichonline, INSTAGRAM: @Kingrichonline.

Q. Any last words to your fans and family out there?
A. Just before that, thank you so much for having me as I am greatly honoured.  I will then like to say a big thank you for the love, tolerance, and support I have received. You guys are the best and I pray for your success just as you pray for mine.
