HELLO THERE,
Swit
Summer Blog constantly brings you exclusive interviews of wonderful characters
in the entertainment industry. People, who have, with their personality only
sort to promote entertainment in Africa, Nigeria. Putting the ever growing
Nollywood industry in the map and Taking it to outstanding heights in the world
today.
We
have recently met another fine one and bring you the interview without any
delay.
Remember
to comment as always.
Tell us a little bit about your self?
My
full names are John Chukwudi Enuesike. I am from Ndokwa East LGA of Delta State
Nigeria. A twin from a Catholic family of 5. God fearing, discipline, hardworking
and a Psychologist. John Chukwudi is a
Thespian, Nollywood Actor, Producer, Director and Writer. Simply put, am a film
maker.
How long have you been acting?
I
basically started from the stage in 1995, joined the Catholic Dramatic Society
CDS in Warri Delta state, where after
3years became the Artistic Director and proceeded to study Acting and Film
Productions with the Delta Joint Films Project DJFP. Thence began my career
professionally in 1999 with "My Joseph" as my first movie and Cotonu
visa" where I played along side Johnbull (Junior Jagua) and Frances Edega.
Immediately after that, I produced my
first movie "Passion of Saint Monica" a Catholic movie directed by
Peter st Paul.
We
understand that you are also skilled in movie directing as well, please can you
tell us how you started and give us a few names of movies you have been
involved in so far?
I
started directing in 2010 with a TV Drama series "The leaf Eater"
produced by ABN. Word of Life Bible Church. "Just once"a campus
movie, "The Secret" and just concluded indigenous comedy movie
"Mr. Billy" produced by Miah Uwem.
What
do you think about the new generation actors compared to the former?
I
see the new crop of Actors as the future of Nollywood, while those you regard
as former are the foundation on which Nollywood stands. Thus, its like father
and son. "The young shall grow" so they say, and every father prays
that their children should be better than them..that is to say the future of
Nollywood ( new generation Actors ) is brighter still with the support of
the Legends of Nollywood.
What are the challenges you're facing as an actor?
Well,
challenges are part of life and propelling factor to greatness. So as an Actor
challenge of getting a good job, the opportunity to show what you are made of
is one...Been appreciated is another. Major characters or prominent roles are
always giving to "big names" relegating the Younger Actors to back
bench. Though some producers and directors love promoting and working with
young talented Actors. But in general I must say, it’s been God.
What can new actors do before embarking on a mission to fame?
Know
what you want; learn what you want, be the best at what you want... Finally and
most importantly, always pray for what you want and be ready for the
opportunity when it comes knocking.
ANY LAST WORDS
FOR YOUR FRIENDS AND FANS?
Thanks
