Kingsley Ogboso stages 2016 most talked about event at the TRUE HEROES AWARDS see pictures below

 

It was the biggest celebration of philanthropy in Nigeria as the most anticipated event in honor of outstanding performances by extraordinary Nigerians within different communities and the Nation at large went live on stage at the maiden edition of the TRUE HEROES AWARDS.

25th November 2016, was an evening of glitz and glamour at the REGENT HOTEL Joel Ogunnaike, GRA, Ikeja as movers and shakers of industries trooped out to show love and support for a worthy cause. 40 UNSUNG HEROES were presented with certificates of honor and plaques at the much spoken about event which celebrated Nigerians whose philanthropic works have not been duly recognized.
 

It was a huge success on many levels and drew supports from leading brands like Access Bank, Reckitt Benckiser, MTN and Coca-Cola, with exclusive media coverage from Groove on TV, RaveTV, TVC and R2TV. Some of the beautiful Faces in attendance included the Former Managing Director of the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) Mr. Oladimeji Oresanya, the Lagos State House of Assembly Member Representing Ikeja Constituency II, Hon. Adedamola Richards Kasumu, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Supro Dolapo Badmus, His Excellency Uba Saidu Malami of Malami Leadership Foundation and Agatha Amana of Inside Out, also in attendance were two beauty Queens, Miss Nollywood Eko 2016 and Most Beautiful Girl in Abuja 2016, the Vice Chairman Actors Guild of Nigeria Lagos State Chapter Doris Chima Ogboso, Bukky Shonibare Co-founder (Bring Back Our Girls), were amongst the dignitaries who turned up to give their support to a laudable cause. It was an evening filled with emotions and excitement as guests were not left out in the big giveaways as the organizers gave gift items to all in attendance to take home.
 

Mr. Kingsley Ogboso and Victor Olaotan the Winner of the Maiden Edition of the Next Movie Star TV Reality Show and a veteran Actor of the popular TV hit series TINSEL founders of the Awards ceremony did promise to wow its 2017 recipients and guests at the TRUE HEROES AWARDS 2.0 coming up in July, 2017 with bigger giveaways of gift items from more brands to include a brand new car. Expectations are high, and Nigerians are been encouraged to begin to rebuild our Nation through selfless services to one another as we continue to rise against all odds in patriotism and the show of love for our beloved country.

NIGERIAN RISING STAR BOOBOOSHA STORMS MAJOR CITIES IN NEW ZEALAND ON PROMOTIONS FOR THE AFRICA MUSIC FESTIVAL 2016

MEET NOLLYWOOD ACTRESS MARIAM MUSTAFA

 

Today, we met with a very outstanding actress. A young lady, beautiful and elegant. Stylish in all ramification. She shares with us on herself and how the journey has been for her so far.

Introduce yourself to us.
My name is Mariam Mustafa. I graduated from Olabisi Onabanjo University(2009). I studied performing act.

What do you do for a living and why?
Well I am an actress, and I also feature in some musical videos also. I am into acting because it has always being my dream. Apart from the fact that I studied it in school, I have always hoped that people see me as a good example or as a role model.

Can you tell us how you started and what promoted that?
Though wen I was much younger, I always join the school cultural group. Dancing to traditional dance and acting for secondary school programs. But my major acting started wen I entered the university. Then uncle Yemi Amodu came to my school to pick on some talented students in my department and I was one of them. Then we went to do Eru niyo and it was a great traditional film with aunty Joke Muyiwa, Tope Adebayo e.t.c and since then, that gave me the light of what I really wanted and I represented my school with the others so many times like going to ABCF, and NUTAF. It was fun and also I did some films after that.

 

Is it a lucrative business? And do you feel fulfilled in what you do?
Yes it is lucrative, but then it depends on how you handle it. Now the industry is shakey but we will survive it. And sure I feel fulfilled with what I do. I know I will get there, I just have to keep pushing.
 

There are so many people out there, who do not know what careers to pick, can you encourage someone out there? Coming from the angle of your profession?
Yes I can say it anywhere that u should always believe in yourself. That is the first thing because without that u will lose it. We all know that Nigeria is not stable for now and it has been like this for couple of years now. So all I can say is have focus and work towards it. Don't relent, be determined and u will get there. Though it might take time, but u will get there.
