About The Event
LCCI for the Information, Communication and
Telecommunication ‘ICTEL’ Expo took place from the 26th to 28th of July 2016 at
the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island Lagos. The theme of the event is
“Mobility, Technology and the Nigerian Economy. It is aimed at exploring and
promoting opportunities in the Nigerian IT industry.
The ICTEL expo which is annual event, which is organized by
the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) gathered stakeholders in the
IT industry, academics, professionals, OEMs, equipment suppliers, telecom
operators, e-business operators, thought leaders and public sector. Highlights
of the event include an exhibition, ICT Unveil, Hackathon, Pitch Theatre, Presentation
and Award and Gala Night.
The
Awards
The
ICTEL expo Gala Night Awards was held on the 28th of August and
it took place at the Eko Hotel.
There were various awards in 15
different categories- Youth Empowerment, Innovation Clusters of the Year, Product
of the Year, Social Innovation of the Year, Special Recognition of the Year
etc.
For the Special Recognition
Award, seven people were given the special recognition award.
